PIONEERS IN BIOTECHNOLOGY

Wound Care

Until the early 1990s, the wound healing industry was made up of a small number of products. Wet to dry dressings were the standard using simple cotton gauze. That all changed when our founder, Dr. Manoj K Jain, discovered how to preserve the collagen molecule and manufacture products. This molecule, when properly preserved, would create the foundation for our business and the entire advanced wound care industry.

In 1991, the FDA cleared for sale Kollagen™ products based on Dr. Jain’s collagen technology. With these products, healthcare professionals gained the ability to directly interact with the wound and take control of the healing process for the first time. After 10 years of extensive use, the Department of Health and Human Services listened to clinicians, recognized these benefits, and created an entirely new category of Medicare reimbursement codes for collagen. The new availability of insurance payments for collagen products would pave the way for other collagen products to be developed. Ultimately, it would take ten years after the release of our first Kollagen™ products for a competitor to receive FDA cleared for a collagen product. Now collagen is the standard for wound care, and Kollagen is the standard for collagen.

OUR Philosophy

electron Microscope Image

We believe that every patient matters and every wound matters.

That sentiment leads our decision-making, our ethic, our ethos. We’re known as thought-leaders in the world of advanced wound care for a reason—we bear down on innovation and distribution of helpful products. That is how we pioneered the advanced wound care industry over thirty years ago with the development of Kollagen.

Since then, we continually find ways to streamline our manufacturing operations to keep prices fair and our product in the hands of the people who need it most. We are always growing and retooling our portfolio of products to meet the exacting standards and changing requirements of physicians, scientists, hospitals, patients and caregivers.

THE KOLLAGEN™ TECHNOLOGY DIFFERENCE

Dr Manoj K Jain Human Biosciences

Our collagen-based products are breaking barriers in wound healing across the globe. We feature 100% non-hydrolyzed native bovine collagen products in their purest form.

Human BioSciences’ proprietary Kollagen™ technology process protects and retains significantly more native triple helical protein structure thus allowing superior stability of the molecule and scaffolding through all four phases of wound healing.

For use and management of burns, scrapes, blisters (ruptured), sores, ulcers, acute and chronic wounds, superficial, partial and full thickness wounds, infected and non-infected wounds, and minimal to heavily exudating wounds. Easy application and product compatibility with topical agents and or dressings.

CORPORATE PROFILE

1991 The Food and Drug Administration FDA Approved Cleared

Our Kollagen™ technology launched the international advanced woundcare industry in 1991, and we continue to engineer breakthroughs every day.

Our guiding philosophy is that every patient matters and every wound matters. In that spirit, we have dozens of new products in development at any given time to solve each of our patient’s individual problems. Our vision encompasses pharmaceuticals, nutraceuticals, additive manufacturing, alternative medicine based in real science and eco-friendly techniques to manufacture amazing products with scientific integrity.

In order to reach as many patients as possible, our products are distributed around the world via a robust global distribution network. Our manufacturing facilities in the USA, India, and Taiwan are equipped with our state-of-the-art proprietary machinery. Each of our facilities exceed all quality standards and achieve unmatched yields which can support new product launches and expansion beyond their respective markets. We are planning to supplement this expansion into new markets by establishing new facilities around the world in a series of joint venture partnerships.
